BECOME A FELLOW
Our Fellowship program connects Jewish adults across the nation to learn together about various aspects of the foster and adoption process. With expert guest speakers sharing their insights and a collaborative spirit providing the opportunity to establish meaningful connections, YATOM welcomes a diverse group of interested participants representing the many beautiful definitions of "family".
Application Timeline for the 11th Cohort:
- October 2024: Applications for the 11th Cohort Due
- November-December 2024: Applicant Interviews
- Early 2025: 11th Cohort Begins
Our program includes:
- Monthly Zoom meetings on one Sunday each month, for 6 months (afternoon PST/evening EST).
- Collaboration and community from Jewish adults across the US exploring foster/adoption.
- Professional guest speakers presenting meaningful information related to your journey.
- Experienced foster/adoptive guest speakers presenting insights from their own experiences.
- Dates will be shared during the interview process, and are subject to change.
To qualify for the YATOM Family Fellowship stipend, certain criteria must be met. Participants must demonstrate active participation based on stipulated criteria, provide documentation that they have been licensed by their state to foster and/or adopt by the end of the fellowship, submit an article that has been published by a Jewish news outlet, submit documentation they have hosted a community discussion regarding their experiences through the process and the fellowship, and submit a video, no more than 90 seconds in length, describing their experiences through the process and the fellowship.
